Local crematorium to assist grieving families

Families in Goulburn and the region will be able to say their final farewells to loved ones at a state-of-the art crematorium soon to be opened in Goulburn.

Owned and operated by Australia’s longest continually operating funeral directors, R J Sidney Craig, the Craig’s Hill Crematorium will ease the burden of many families and their loved one’s who choose cremation for their funeral arrangement.

“We’re pleased to be able to make this critical facility available to families in the region,” R J Sidney Craig Managing Director, John Crooks, said. “No longer will families have to travel to Canberra or other locations to say their goodbyes to loved ones at a cremation service.”

“With the opening of Craig’s Hill Crematorium, families will be able to hold their funeral service on-site at the crematorium should they choose to do so,” John said. “The crematorium will enable many families to bring closure to their grieving within their local region.”

Located at St Patrick’s Cemetery, Middle Arm Road, Goulburn, the facility is at the leading-edge of industry best practice and the result of 11 years work by the Crooks family.
